| We recorded more music than we ended up needing for Life Like Luster, but even though these tracks didn't get picked for that album, we're still fond of them! Two cover tunes, My Bloody Valentine's "Only Shallow" and Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl" are joined up with some other interesting rarities: a solo acoustic version of "Numbered Days", and a mostly-live-in-the-studio version of "The Ending" that was recorded with the four-piece edition of the band back in 2004. "F-Bomb Symphony" is a gag reel of sorts, a compendium of false starts and miscues cobbled together into a hilarious Symphony of Profanity (NOTE: F-BOMB means F-BOMBS. If you're offended by naughty language, you may want to steer clear). Total running time is about 26 minutes. |
